304 stainless steel square bend U-bolt. 1/2" diameter, 13 threads per inch, 3-1/8" wide, 5-3/8" long. Corners are bent at a true 90 degree bend allowing it to fit 3" square tubing. Inferior hardware have radius bends that do not allow the U bolt to sit as well on a flat surface as the true 90 degree bends. Stainless steel hardware is stronger and much more corrosion resistant over zinc plated or galvanized hardware. It is recommended to NOT use power tools on stainless steel hardware. Power tools can easily cause galling (messing up the threads) It is important to use a premium anti seize compound to keep hardware from overheating and stripping.
